What is the theory behind the worksheet?

Art therapy offers you the opportunity to find different manners in which to express your feelings. Often used on its own or in tandem with traditional talk therapy, art therapy offers an individual a way to use symbolism, color, texture, image, etc. to express their feelings and thoughts.

The process of art-making is part of the therapeutic process as well. This process allows for self-reflection and free expression to be experienced in a safe space.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet requires you to think about yourself and how you view yourself. This is an opportunity to explore how you portray yourself to the world and whether it is an accurate representation of yourself.

This awareness can build your self-esteem and help you identify areas that you wish to strengthen.

How to use the worksheet.

Find a time when you will not be disturbed, use whatever medium or combination of mediums you wish, and be creative and free. Think of how you can represent yourself in color, texture, symbol, shape, etc.

There are no limits to how you represent yourself.
