What is the theory behind the Changing Negative Thoughts Into Positive Worksheet?

The worksheet will an individual to replace automatic negative thoughts with automatic positive one by making a practice of it. How to use the worksheet?

The worksheet is easy to use. 

Read the columns, and write down negative thoughts you want to modify, it can be any thought. Your therapist will help you identify them. 

Once identified challenge this thought, and look for evidence of how true it is. Try to look at it from someone else’ perspective it can be your therapist as well. 

Now in the positive thoughts column write the positive and light-weighted thoughts you came up with after this whole process.
