What is the theory behind the 5 senses nature walk worksheet?

The 5 Senses nature walk worksheet is a tool that is designed to help a person be mindful during a nature walk. A person uses all five senses to observe one’s own experiences. 

The worksheet consists of sections for each sense, allowing a person to note down what they hear, see, smell, touch, and taste. 

The purpose of the worksheet is to help clients take a step back and experience the separate input from each of the senses, something that can be a very useful mindfulness technique.
