What is the theory behind the worksheet?

The theory behind this worksheet is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is that automatic negative thoughts, or ANTs, are the root cause of mental illness.

The person deliberately repeated recurring, and generally unreasonable negative beliefs about one’s identity, abilities, skills, etc.

The majority of applied CBT addresses how to replace these negative thoughts with ones that are more realistic or at the very least more optimistic.

How will the worksheet help?

It helps individuals to identify ANTs and aids in simplifying their cycle of ANTs. It helps to find one’s core belief in trouble-making. To heal, first to realize where the fault lies. That is a necessary step in well-being.

How to use the worksheet?

Look at the downward arrow. You can replace your own belief with an example. Investigate what if it were true, that means to you. Realize where to start over.
