What is the theory behind the worksheet?

The sociological theory of the worksheet relies on the concept of introspection and personal development. It motivates an individual to take some time and consider reflecting on one’s social-emotional learning (SEL), abilities, and goals.

How will the worksheet help?

The worksheet enables them to get a better understanding of what makes them happy by helping them recall happy moments in their past.

Analyze what aspects made them happy, make them appreciate their strengths, make them imagine how they wanted to be happy in the future and make them decide on how they were going to take care of themselves.

How to use the worksheet?

  1. Think of events in the past week that made you feel happy. These can be happy thoughts, success, or spending quality time with family and friends. Select one of them and write that on the circle drawn in the middle of the star.
  2. Think about what led to your happiness in these moments. Eg. a sense of accomplishment, connection with others, or simply enjoying the present moment. Write that on one tip of the star.
  3. Consider the attributes that define you and how they play a role in enhancing your well-being. On one of the tips of the star, write that.
  4. Think about what other happy moments you might like to experience in the future and how you can make these come true. Now write that on one tip of the star.
  5. Think about any occurrence in the past that made you feel grateful. Write one experience that evoked feelings of gratitude on one tip of the star.
  6. List one thing that you can do to improve your happiness and well-being. This could be a self-care activity, establishing boundaries, or spending more time in activities that the individual enjoys. Write that on one tip of the star.
