What is the theory behind this worksheet?

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) represents an action-focused psychotherapeutic approach derived from cognitive-behavioral therapy. In this methodology, clients are encouraged to acknowledge their profound emotions and accept them as reasonable reactions to specific situations.

Armed with this insight, clients embark on a journey to embrace their challenges and implement essential behavioral changes, regardless of external circumstances and emotional responses.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help beginner therapists to design their sessions with the clients and it will be useful for more experienced therapists as a reminder of the basic parts of the session. It will also help potential clients to be informed about what to expect in an ACT session.
