What is the theory behind this worksheet?

The Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework is an intervention designed for children and adolescents who have undergone complex trauma, alongside their caregiving systems. ARC is based on four primary areas of research: typical childhood development, traumatic stress, attachment, and risk and resilience.

With insights from these domains, ARC highlights crucial childhood skills and competencies that are consistently demonstrated to be adversely impacted by traumatic stress and attachment disruptions. Addressing these aspects is predictive of a resilient outcome.
