What is the theory behind the Worksheet?

This worksheet is based on Social Interdependence Theory which posits that the way individuals interact with each other determines the outcomes of those interactions.

Positive interdependence, where individuals perceive that their success is linked to the success of others, promotes positive behaviours like cooperation, trust, and mutual support.

Research has shown that cooperative efforts enhance group productivity, individual satisfaction, and mental well-being.

How will the worksheet help?

Understanding cooperation helps individuals foster social connections which are very important in working collaboratively.

This worksheet can help leaders pull their team members who are lagging in teamwork.

It will also help enhance self-awareness as the individual will reflect on their approach towards working with others and objectively view its consequences.

How to use the worksheet?

First describe what is co-operation and why it is useful. Then think about your life experiences where it was used by yourself and where you could have done better.

In the end, you can chart out a few small steps to start in your journey of improving cooperation and teamwork based on the above observations.
