Emotional awareness is the ability to identify and express what you are feeling from moment to moment and to understand the connection between feelings and actions.

  1. Emotion Regulation Therapy (ERT) 

This is a person-centered approach to dealing with the affective regulation of one’s emotional state. ERT helps individuals identify, acknowledge, and describe their emotions. 

  1. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) 

DBT is a talking therapy adapted to treat individuals suffering from highly intense emotions. It is used to help individuals manage their problems by changing how they think and behave.

This worksheet should be used by individuals who;

  • act impulsively or say things they shouldn’t,

  • have a hard time communicating with others and forming meaningful connections.

This worksheet can be used in a group setting or during individual therapy as an evaluation tool to learn how to recognize, manage, and deal with emotions.
