What is the theory behind the worksheet?

Neurodiversity includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. This term was developed to shift from a medical view of these conditions to a social justice view. This means that instead of seeing these conditions as something needing to be corrected, they are seen as a difference that can be adjusted to.

When engaging in any form of therapy these concepts of neurodiversity affirming language and action need to be followed. You can work with a therapist on understanding your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and regulation to increase your ability to function independently and live a fulfilled life.
