What is the theory behind the worksheet?

Low self-esteem is the belief that one is inadequate, unworthy, unlovable, or incompetent. That view of oneself is the basis for behaviors, thoughts, and specific emotions that come with each interpretation.

How will the worksheet help?

This checkup will help you find out if some perceptions of yourself are inaccurate. It’s important to know that your score on this test doesn’t mean anything about your quality as a person. Instead, what it does is to measure how you view yourself.

Your measure will be low if you have a healthy view of yourself. Otherwise, your score will be high. If you are feeling low self-esteem, seek professional support.

How to use the worksheet?

Just check the sentences you consider are true about yourself. If you checked:

  • 01-04 statements: You may have fairly good self-esteem.
  • 05-10 statements: You may have mild low self-esteem.
  • 11-14 statements: You may have moderately low self-esteem.
  • 15-25 statements: You may have severely low self-esteem.
