What is helpful about my anger? Worksheet

What is the theory behind this What is helpful about my anger Worksheet?

Anger is a strong emotion that is accompanied by a host of psychological and physical changes. There are times when anger can be justified while at other times it brings nothing but negative consequences all around if not managed properly. It is important to teach young kids anger can be both good and bad depending on the situation but should be controlled either way.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet can help young kids reflect on times when their anger made them feel good about themselves and justify why that is so. It will also prompt them to think on what circumstances do they think allow one to be rightfully angry and which circumstances are associated with bad anger. For example when anger is used to get a valid point across or when it is used to hurt someone purposefully.

How to use the worksheet?

This worksheet can be used in educational settings and group counselling sessions when teaching young kids about regulating their emotions. This worksheet can be used along with a group discussion on what makes anger good or bad. Instruct the young kids to list down the circumstances that they believe make anger a good choice or a bad choice.
