ACE Log (Achievement, Closeness, Enjoyment) Worksheet

What is the theory behind this ACE Log (Achievement, Closeness, Enjoyment) Worksheet?

The concept of ACE is based on ‘Behavioural Activation’ which basically means that individuals tend to feel good after performing behaviours that enhance their feelings of achievement, closeness to others and enjoyment. Oftentimes when we feel low, we can make ourselves feel better by performing those activities but instead we forgo everything to sulk, ruminate and isolate ourselves and end up feeling even worse.

How will the worksheet help?

The worksheet can help people of all ages identify the ACE score for their usual activities. In order to achieve well-being it is crucial to keep a balance between ACE in all activities.  Scoring an activity can help them determine what aspect they can change to raise the ACE score and make it a pleasurable experience.
