ADHD Time Management Worksheet
What is the theory behind the ADHD Time Management Worksheet?
Time management is an executive function, a set of skills that are severely lacking in people with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). These skills enable us to focus on tasks, manage multiple tasks at once, and basically plan ahead to ensure we meet our goals on time. People with ADHD can find it very difficult to set schedules for themselves, manage their time and tasks, and organize necessary materials all of which become an obstacle for them to meet their goals.
How will the worksheet help?
This worksheet will help clients with ADHD to manage their daily tasks. It will help them schedule their tasks for the day and plan ahead for what they would need for the tasks and how they can minimize distractions if any. This will help ensure no important tasks are missed.
How to use the worksheet?
This worksheet can be easily used by clients with ADHD of all ages. Younger clients can use it under adult supervision. Instruct them to use the worksheet a day prior to plan for the next day. They only have to make note of important tasks for the day so that they are not distracted by other less important tasks.
