What is the theory behind this Anger iceberg worksheet?

Anger is the outcome of a feeling lying deep inside an individual. People who have anger related problems rarely are aware of those feelings. That is why it is hard for them to manage that anger. Psychotherapy helps in getting to know those feelings. According to  the Anger Iceberg technique, anger is just the tip of the iceberg. Many trauma, feelings and other emotions are below the surface. Such as sadness, fear, or guilt.
