What is the theory behind this anxiety worksheet for Youth?
Anxiety is the fear of something bad happening in one’s life and being unable to deal with it. It also has physical symptoms such as nausea, shaking, and nervousness. Anxiety is very common in youth because they face emotional challenges. For teenagers or young adults, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) is the most effective intervention.
How will the worksheet help?
This worksheet will assist clients in dealing with problems rather than avoiding or fleeing from them. Also, they will be able to mark their stressors which can cause physical changes in their body.
How to use the worksheet?
During the session, this worksheet will be used. In addition, the therapist instructs the client to write down their difficulties.
Anxiety Worksheet for Youth
Draw a picture of yourself standing in an empty room. Write down any challenges or stressors that you face on a daily basis. This can cause physical changes in your body.
- Now, look at your picture of daily challenges. Explain the physical symptoms that you are experiencing as a result of these difficulties.
- Write down the emotional reaction caused due to these stressors and physical symptoms.
- Write down any rational ideas that could help you to relieve stress and cope with the difficulties.
