What is the theory behind this Autism Handwriting Worksheet?

Children with autism often lack motor skills and this distortion in motor skills makes handwriting difficult for them. They can have a problem with holding pencil and their handwriting can vary in size and seems clumsy. Usually, these kids are slow writers and consume more energy in the writing process. It is important to work on their writing process and its variation in size to help them learn more and achieve academically

It is recommended to draw 4 equal lines in all the vacant boxes to help clients generate equal size alphabets encourage clients to hold pencils properly and then copy written works in horizontal boxes according to the appropriate size and gap. Before doing this worksheet it is essential for the client to have proper pencil-holding skills and they can generate parallel and intersection lines to produce proper alphabets.
