What is the theory behind this CBT for voices worksheet?

Auditory hallucinations are the sensory perceptions of hearing noises that are not based on the real sources from the outside. Rather this is a symptom of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. Cognitive behavioral therapy CBT aims to enhance daily functioning of the individuals having the symptoms of psychosis such as hallucinations, negative symptoms, thought disturbances, and delusions.

How will the worksheet help?    

This worksheet is targeted at the clients who have adequate understanding of reading and writing abilities in English language. This will help the clients in controlling as well as overcoming their auditory hallucinations as well as form a healthy habit of reading.

How to use this worksheet?

For practicing this technique, this worksheet contains two prose extracted from free books of English literature available online. To use this worksheet, the client is required to read a paragraph out loud when they are experiencing auditory hallucinations and then write its summary below in their own words.
