Video & audio overview of the worksheet

What is the theory behind the worksheet?

Building a healthy sexual relationship requires physical intimacy. When a couple develops physical intimacy they may feel that the only way to do this is through sexual encounters. However, physical intimacy needs to be built through non-sexual physical encounters as well. In fact, these non-sexual encounters enhance the sexual experience for a couple.

Communicating about different ways to develop physical intimacy strengthens a relationship and grows partner appreciation.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet offers an exercise that builds physical intimacy in a non-sexual manner. This intimacy will work toward building sexual intimacy.

How to use the worksheet?

Set time aside to practice this exercise together. You may wish to set the scene as well. Use candles, incense, music, closed curtains, etc. whatever makes you both feel comfortable and feel close to each other.

Follow the instructions in the worksheet (setting a timer is a good idea so that you aren’t constantly checking the time). You may feel awkward the first few times you try this – that is normal, take a deep breath, giggle together, and keep on going.
