What Are The Theories Behind This Worksheet?

  1. The development model of couples therapy 

This approach to relationship counselling focuses on the growth and development of each partner individually and also as a unit.

  1. Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) 

This therapy focuses on improving the attachment and bonding between people in a romantic relationship. EFT helps couples understand and change patterns that lead to feelings of disconnection.

  1. Behavioral couples therapy (BCT) 

BCT reinforces positive behaviours that promote stability and satisfaction among couples.

  1. The Gottman method

This approach involves addressing areas of conflict and equipping couples with problem-solving skills. This method also increases the overall closeness, respect, and affection between couples.
