  1. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

This is a talking therapy that is used to help individuals manage problems by changing the way they think and behave. Engaging in self-care has been shown to improve one’s mood and increase the ability to cope with stress and negative emotions.

  1. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT)

This is a type of psychotherapy that combines cognitive therapy, meditation, and mindfulness. Individuals are taught to recognize their own behavioral patterns and change them, thus improving self-care.
