What is the theory behind this DBT improve the moment worksheet?

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of therapeutic intervention aimed at intense emotional problems, usually related to personality disorders. The aim of DBT is to accept those emotions and feelings and deal with them as it is. One of the interventions is  ‘improve the moment’ technique. It is a bunch of different methods to deal with the present crisis.
