What is the theory behind this DBT Interpersonal Effectiveness worksheet?

We sometimes get into situations where we find it hard to assert ourselves and present our needs and concerns to the people. This happens when we have limited communication skills. And in situations, where another person has some extraordinary skills, you find it quite difficult to say no to their needs and requests.  This will build resentment in yourself you will feel bad for not communicating your needs and wants to another person.
