Mindfulness is an awareness of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and behavioral urges. Mindfulness draws the brain’s focus to the present moment in an attempt to achieve inner peace.

What Are The Theories Behind This Worksheet?

Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) is a type of talking therapy treatment specifically adapted to treat individuals who suffer from extremely intense emotions.

Mindfulness is used in DBT to help individuals learn how to gain awareness of and learn to accept their emotions. 

DBT presents three states of mind; reasonable mind, emotional mind, and wise mind. A wise mind is a balance between a reasonable mind and an emotional mind. It involves a deep sense of intuitive knowing.
