It is important to teach individuals not just to recognize anger and its triggers but also how to control it in a way that ensures it doesn’t harm oneself or others around them. 

How will the worksheet help?

The worksheet will help clients brainstorm tips and tricks that have worked in the past for them in controlling their anger. This exercise will help them collect a list of strategies that have been effective in reducing their anger as learned in therapy sessions. They can refer to this list whenever they feel like things are getting out of control. 

How to use the worksheet?

Instruct the client to take note of all the anger management strategies that they have used over the course of their therapy sessions and they have been effective in reducing their anger. Tell them to keep this list handy for whenever they feel like their anger is getting uncontrollable to remind themselves of what they can do to get a grip on it before it negatively influences their behavior and emotions.
