Graded exposure is a way of treating a range of anxiety problems by exposing patients to specific situations they are fearful of.

Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, nervousness, worried thoughts, and physical changes (like increased blood pressure) in the absence of an imminent threat.
