What is the theory behind this mental health and addiction worksheet? 

A person who struggles with an addiction uses a substance or indulges in a behaviour that, despite negative consequences, is highly motivating to repeat due to the rewarding benefits. It affects a user’s capacity to that extent where it may lead to interpersonal, professional, and social issues.

How will the worksheet help?

Addiction has an impact on a person’s functioning in so many ways, including their capacity to handle frustration, ability to develop and keep a useful social position, as well as mental health. The worksheet will help clients to identify the pros and of addiction and how it affects his/her mental health.   

How to use the worksheet?  

The worksheet consists of some techniques. Clients can use it for their self help guide or therapist can use it to make clients aware of pros and cons of addiction and how it is affecting their mental health.
