What is the theory behind this Mental Health Intervention Worksheet?
Mental Health Interventions refer to all efforts directed at helping a person through a mental health crisis or to help them change or modify their harmful thoughts, feelings or behaviours for the better. The type of intervention used can vary depending on many factors but they all have the same aim of helping reduce the individual’s mental illness related symptoms or simply to maintain or promote their mental health to prevent mental illnesses. .

This worksheet can help clients keep track of their mood changes throughout the day. This intervention is commonly used as a part of emotion regulation skills training to help individuals become more aware of patterns related to their mood so that effective coping strategies can be planned accordingly to prevent unfavourable outcomes.
How to use this worksheet?
Instruct the client to be aware of their mood changes throughout the day for a period of two weeks. They can note down significant mood changes at the time they happen or fill it out by the end of the day. Instruct them to place the worksheet in a place where it is easily visible so that they can be reminded to use it.
