What is the theory behind this worksheet?

Mind–Body Bridging (MBB) represents a mindfulness-based approach to addressing stressful experiences and trauma. This technique combines mindfulness practices with free association and somatic awareness activities, aiming to comprehend internal sensations.

MBB practices foster changes in awareness skills by reinforcing consciousness of the body, thoughts, and emotions and enhancing understanding of one’s thought processes, specifically metacognitive processes. Consequently, a reduction in symptoms of stress is anticipated. However, there remains a scarcity of research on the impact of this intervention.

How will the worksheet help?

The worksheet will help to understand the basics of MBB for anyone interested in this therapeutic approach.
