What is the theory behind this My fears and strengths worksheet?
This worksheet is based on Strengths based Therapy, which aims to highlight an individual’s positive personality characteristics. By developing a strength mindset, we can actively look within ourselves to find helpful capabilities and skills as opposed to focusing on what we don’t have. Focusing on strengths can also help us deal with fears that hold us back from achieving our full potential.
How will the worksheet help?
The worksheet will help clients analyze their own strengths and determine which of them can be used against them everyday fears that might be holding them back. It can help them see their fears in light of their strengths, and instill hope.
How to use the worksheet?
Instruct clients to circle their strengths from the given list in Table 1. Then, instruct them to list down their fears and decide which of their strengths can help them overcome that particular fear from the list given in Table 2.
