Stress is a normal part of life and it can impact our physical, emotional, and mental well-being negatively. One way to manage stress is to identify/recognize the common sources of stress, understand the impact that stress is having on our functioning, and develop adaptive coping mechanisms.

This worksheet is designed to provide a structured approach to managing stress. Primarily, individuals can benefit from this step-by-step approach to dealing with stress by streamlining their sources of stress and recognizing its impact on their physical and emotional well-being. By doing so, individuals will be able to think of ways to cope with stress, as adequately identifying a problem can be an integral step toward change.

How to use the worksheet?

Review the non-exhaustive list of common stressors experienced by the average population. Give a thought to how each stressor has impacted your life in the past, and then rate its impact on your mental health from 0-10 (Lowest to highest). Finally, think about strategies you could use to manage each stressor and reduce the impact of stress on your life.
