You become self-conscious and begin to evaluate your current actions objectively by comparing it to your internal standards and values as you turn your attention inside. Practitioners and scholars have long viewed self-awareness as a crucial tool for easing psychological discomfort as well as the route to personal growth for those with a stable psychological state. Mindfulness is one of the techniques used in the self awareness process.
