Sex Offender Therapy Worksheet

What is the theory behind this Sex Offender Therapy Worksheet?

Sex offenders are people who have committed crimes related to sex. Therapeutic treatments with sex offenders focus on identifying the underlying reasons and triggers of their sexually deviant behaviours and ultimately work on relapse prevention so that they don’t repeat their crimes.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help clients who have been charged as sex offenders to identify risky situations, thoughts and emotions that led to their criminal acts in the past. It will then prompt them to think of ways that they act safely when around those risky circumstances.

How to use the worksheet?

Instruct the client to think about the circumstances surrounding their previous offences. They could be emotional, cognitive, behavioural or any other risk factors that they believe led to their actions. Tell them to list them down then write what they can do if those circumstances repeat in the future.
