What is the theory behind this Worksheet?

Social Pragmatic Disorder encompasses all individuals who have difficulty in using and perceiving verbal and nonverbal communication in social settings to the point that it negatively impacts their social well-being. Individuals with this disorder can show signs of lack of social pragmatic skills in early childhood and grow up to have significant difficulties in their interpersonal, social, academic and occupational aspects of their lives. 

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help individuals self reflect on their good and bad experiences with regard to social pragmatic skills to determine the challenges that need to be addressed in therapy. It will not only help the client but the therapist as well to gain a deeper insight into the severity and nature of the condition. 

How to use the worksheet?

This worksheet can be used in the initial stages of therapy for individuals with Social Pragmatic Disorder. Instruct them to think of recent good and bad experiences where they had to use their social pragmatic skills and write down what they found the most challenging about the situation and how they overcame those challenges.
