What is the theory behind this symptom management worksheet?

A personal experience that reflects changes in an individual’s biopsychosocial functioning, thoughts, emotions, feelings, or behaviour is referred to as a symptom. Symptoms and signs are significant parts of well-being and disorder that interfere with a person’s mental, social, and physical functioning. However, symptom management is used to eliminate or reduce the effects of symptoms and provide relief to a person. It is also known as palliative care. 

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help a person to maintain their goal towards change. Also, it makes them able to develop healthy coping skills and reduce their unhealthy attitudes. It also reduces the possibility of relapses of the disorders or illnesses. 

How to use the worksheet?

During the session, the therapist gives the client this worksheet. The client is required to write about their unhelpful thoughts on a daily basis. It assists them in recognising their symptoms and motivating them to change their behaviour or thoughts in a healthy way.
