Divorce can be a stressful event for a couple. It can also be unsettling for the children of parents getting a divorce. Research indicates that children whose parents are going through a divorce can develop different internalizing (e.g. anxiety, depression) and externalizing issues (e.g. anger) since the living situation and their family environment drastically change after the divorce of their parents.
