Understanding Anger Worksheet

What is the theory behind this Understanding Anger Worksheet?

Anger is an intense emotion that can have negative consequences if not controlled at the right time. Anger management training can begin at a young age, specially for children who are habitually displaying signs of aggressiveness. It is crucial to make kids aware of all emotions and their physical signs for them to learn to identify them by name and work on controlling any negative reactions.

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help young kids draw and describe what anger looks like and feels like to them. This activity can help them become more observant of their anger related thoughts and physical reactions, which is a crucial step before moving on to helping them in learning to control and manage it.

How to use the worksheet?

This worksheet can be used by teachers or counsellors with kids ages 9 and above as part of emotional regulation training. When anger has been thoroughly discussed, provide this worksheet and instruct them to draw what anger looks like, highlight what it physically feels like on the silhouette and also write down what it makes them think in the moment.
