Anxiety Breakdown Worksheet
What is the theory behind the Anxiety Breakdown Worksheet?
Anxiety is an uncomfortable emotional state that is characterised by feelings of excessive worry and fear that are accompanied by physical changes in the body as well. While some level of anxiety is healthy for survival, extreme levels of anxiety can be debilitating. It is important for an individual to breakdown information about their anxiety in a way that helps them understand and treat it better.
How will the worksheet help?
This worksheet will allow individuals to write down some basic information related to their anxiety so as to break it down in an attempt to understand it better. Once a complete picture of the client’s anxiety has been formed, the therapist can plan appropriate and effective coping strategies to minimise the arising discomfort.
How to use the worksheet?
Instruct the client to answer all the questions related to their feelings of anxiety based on any recent events. Instruct them to be specific in the responses so that the therapist can form a complete picture of the characteristics that are specific to the client’s anxiety.
