What is the theory behind this Disorganised Attachment Style Worksheet?

Attachment styles are based on the attachment theory by John Bowlby. According to the theory, the nature of early relationships and interactions with our primary caregivers has a significant impact on how we form relations and interact with others in our later life. In therapy exploring one’s attachment styles can provide valuable insight into the client’s current relationship dynamics and struggles and how they may relate to past experiences and trauma. Therapeutic goals can then be worked on accordingly.
