What is the theory behind this worksheet?

The OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) diary worksheet is a tool that can be used as a part of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) for OCD. The theory behind this worksheet is based on the CBT model of OCD, which proposes that OCD is caused by dysfunctional beliefs and faulty interpretations of intrusive thoughts.

How will this worksheet help?

In CBT, the goal is to help the individual with OCD to recognize and challenge these dysfunctional beliefs and interpretations, and to develop more adaptive ways of responding to intrusive thoughts. The OCD diary worksheet is designed to assist with this process by helping the individual to identify and record their obsessions, compulsions, and related thoughts and emotions.

How to use this worksheet?

This worksheet is an OCD tracking worksheet. Write list of obsessions and compulsions. Then For each obsession and compulsion, identify any related thoughts or emotions that you experienced.It will help clients to track and manage their symptoms of OCD.
