What is the theory behind the template?

Peer supervision is a valuable addition to clinical supervision sessions. In essence, peer supervision is when a group of individuals with similar experience and knowledge gather together to discuss a case or theory.

Having a good structure and documentation of these sessions can provide valuable insight for a practitioner as well as introduce them to new perspectives and ideas to help with future reflections about their clients.

How will the template help?

This template offers a structure for peer supervisors to document and think about each other’s case discussions.

Having written documentation of these sessions can be helpful for your personal records and development as a practitioner.

How to use the template.

Allow each member of the group to complete their own template as the case is presented. They can then share their feedback with the presenter who can complete their own template for their own records.
