What is the theory behind this substance abuse assessment worksheet?

The term “substance abuse” refers to the excessive consumption of alcohol, medications, and other illegal substances. The National Institute on Drug Abuse states that there are numerous ways that drugs can impact your body, including: cocaine, marijuana, tobacco, heroin, and other drugs. There are numerous types of therapy that can be used to help cure addiction. Cognitive behavioural therapy (cbt), dialectical behaviour therapy (dbt), and motivational interviewing (MI).
