What is the theory behind this problems and values worksheet?

Values are internalised cognitive frameworks that help people make decisions by developing a feeling of fundamental moral standards, a concept of priorities, and a desire to interpret the world and recognise patterns. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy seeks to lessen suffering and improve quality of life. It is crucial to acknowledge one’s own values and problems  in order to aid in this process. 

How will the worksheet help?

This worksheet will help clients in understanding and acknowledging their problems and values. Clarifying values enables the client to proceed with significant, life-changing committed activities. 

How to use the worksheet?

The therapist can provide this worksheet to the client during the session and assist him/her in identifying their problems along with their values.
