What is the theory behind this CBT cycle worksheet?
Cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) is A therapeutic method that helps individuals in coping with problematic thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. It has proven to be very effective for people with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). People having OCD engage in specific compulsive behaviors to feel temporary relief from the obsessive thoughts that cause them severe distress. But these thoughts are recurrent forming a vicious cycle of disorder. The main issue with this is that people are unaware how the cycle works and are unable to identify the thoughts and behaviors individually.
